Purpose of the role

As part of Brook’s Outreach and Education Services in Thurrock, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, inclusive and age-appropriate sexual health and relationships education to young people, professionals, parents, carers and community organisations across the local area. The role involves working directly with schools, colleges, community groups and partner organisations to provide engaging education and outreach that supports young people to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make informed and healthy choices.

Essential criteria

• Experience of working with young people and/or delivering education, training or outreach
• Experience of delivering engaging presentations, workshops or group sessions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people, professionals and community organisations
• Understanding of sexual health, relationships and/or Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
• Commitment to creating safe, inclusive and non-judgemental learning environments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good organisation and time-management skill
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own car, with the ability to travel across Thurrock for work purposes

About the role:

• Hours: Part-Time 15 Hours per week

(Upon completing your probationary period, you will be eligible to join the 4 Day Week program, which allows you to work 20% fewer hours without a decrease in salary)

• Contract: Fixed contract (up to 30/03/2029)
• Location: Brook Thurrock
• Salary: £26227.5 per annum pro rata
