Do you love creating safe, enjoyable and supportive spaces which give adult carers the respite, connection and support they deserve?
Are you excited by joining a passionate team to deliver group activities, both in-person and online, to provide support to adult carers and ensure they feel heard, valued and supported?
Do you have experience of working in a community-focused setting, ideally with vulnerable or isolated adults?
If so, you may be the Adult Coordinator we’re looking for — helping adult carers across Surrey feel connected, empowered and valued.
To apply, please submit your CV and a covering letter to recruit@actionforcarers.org.uk
As part of your covering letter, please answer the two questions below;
Adult carers come from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and caring situations. If you were responsible for developing a programme of activities within your local area, what types of groups, events or wellbeing opportunities would you offer, and how would you ensure they appealed to a diverse range of carers?
We’re interested in hearing your ideas, creativity and understanding of the differing needs and interests of carers.
Describe what a successful Engage and Connect Hub or community activity would look like to you. How would you create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment while ensuring carers achieve meaningful outcomes from attending?
We’re looking for evidence of your facilitation style, approach to inclusion and focus on delivering positive outcomes for carers.
We recommend a maximum of 400 words per question, to help you provide focused and relevant responses.
Please note: Applications will be assessed on both your CV and your responses to the questions, so we encourage you to provide specific examples where possible.
We’re keen to welcome an Adult Coordinator as soon as possible, covering the East of Surrey.
If you’re looking for an immediate opportunity, we’d particularly love to hear from applicants who are available for interview and able to start work promptly, subject to the successful completion of our recruitment checks.
Applications will remain open and will be reviewed as they are received, with interviews being arranged throughout the recruitment period.
We encourage early applications and reserve the right to close this vacancy if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
