To increase the impact of our already highly effective work with vulnerable children, Viva is seeking a Junior Systems Developer to join our dynamic, international team. In this exciting new role you will work closely with the CEO and colleagues around the world to help Viva develop systems to be used throughout the organisation.
Your first project will be to develop a system that enables global staff to share learning materials and promotes effective interaction through training courses, tests and chat rooms. For this project and forthcoming ones, you will document solutions clearly and concisely so that they are capable of being maintained by others in the future.
Our default approach is to build from existing Microsoft technologies (Teams, PowerApps, Sharepoint, Dynamics CRM, Common Data Service) rather than code from scratch.
You will have strong problem-solving skills and will be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. A team player, you will be able to test and modify solutions in conversation with members of the global team, staying calm under pressure.
You will have an eye for detail and will be able to keep up to date with fast-changing trends in systems development.
Demonstrable experience in application development will be essential along with experience in documenting solutions.
Although the initial appointment is for three months the hope is that we will secure funding to extend the contract.
Your input will help to make a real impact on our work with vulnerable children worldwide – by helping us scale up our projects and the difference they make in changing more children’s lives so we can fulfil their God-given potential.
To apply, see our website for full details. The closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 2 November 2020. Interviews will be held on Monday 16 November 2020.
