We are looking for people with great communication skills, organised, self motivated, great at solving problems, and living within Surrey to become our Technology Trainer! You will need to be able to travel across Surrey (mileage paid) to deliver face to face training.

Tech to Community Connect is a service which aims to reduce digital exclusion across Surrey.

We provide devices on long term loan to people who are disabled or living with a health condition, family carers, of older age, or to those with another vulnerability. We also offer a ‘match’ with one of our team of volunteer Tech Angels, to help with digital literacy and confidence.  We also supply who do not have WiFi access with a data sim card so that they can be connected.

Purpose of the role is to enable more Disabled people and carers to use technology in their daily lives to aid wellbeing and independence. You will provide engaging one-to-one and group training to people who are digitally excluded, mostly in their own homes.

Main tasks include:

• Planning and conducting face to face, one-to-one (or group where required) training sessions with tech members – you will teach them how to use tablets and other devices, how to stay safe online, how to access services or do shopping online, or just help them get more confident in using technology – no two training sessions will be the same!
• Providing technology support to participants on the NHS at home projects (including ‘BP@home’ and COPD@home projects)
• Actively seeking out tech members who may be willing to share their stories as case studies
