About the Service
Solace’s North London Rape Crisis offers a range of services to women and girls age 13 + who are experiencing or have experienced any form of sexual violence in their lives. We offer a safe and non-judgmental space to women who are living, working or studying across London boroughs of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Haringey, Barnet and Enfield.
Our expert team provides helpline support, advocacy (ISVA) support including specialised ISVA for women with complex needs. We also provide one-to-one and group counselling to survivors as well as short-term one-to-one counselling support to survivors’ family and friends. It is an inclusive service which takes a holistic approach to supporting recovery and independence; and supports all ages, disabilities, sexualities, gender identities including non-binary, ethnicities and religions.
The core service is open 9.00am to 5.00pm. However, appointments can be arranged outside of these hours if required and may offer flexibility around working hours.

We have an opportunity for two people to work collaboratively to support and manage our counselling services. This partnership will be part of a wider team of committed and inspiring individuals whose dedication has saved the lives of thousands of women, men and children, throughout the Capital.

The Counselling Services Co-ordinator will provide direct line management to two administrative assistants and work in partnership with them to ensure that services are facilitated efficiently and in line with trauma informed practice. This role will also be expected to provide some cover in the Counselling Services Manager’s absence.

The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure with supporting women affected by sexual violence who have multiple disadvantages and complex needs. Whether you are applying for the qualified or unqualified role, successful applicants will have a clinical background and some experience of supporting in a trauma informed way. You may already have management experience and understand the complexity of trauma on women that have experienced sexual violence.
