Salary: £25,000-£30,000 dependent on experience
Location: Hybrid (Office/WFH) London, Stockwell. We are all currently working remotely but we aim to be working in a hybrid work from home set up in the summer of 2021
Start Date: April/May
Studio Moross is an 11+ person design studio based in Stockwell, South London. The current team is 3 motion designers, 4 graphic designers, 2 project managers, a creative director and a studio manager. We work predominantly in music, TV, and live, with a strong focus on branding and art direction. We use a non-hierarchical approach to project assignments, and support people in creating a job role that works for them and meets their interests and aspirations. There is often emerging talent working as part of the team, being nurtured through internships, work experience and mentorship programs. Our open and fair office culture is an imperative part of the fabric that makes up Studio Moross.
The well-being of our staff is just as important to us as the work we produce. We recognise that the creative industry is notorious for being a stressful environment with long, unsociable hours – often resulting in unhealthy office culture. So we implement shorter more efficient working days, leading to increased productivity and an all-around happier team. Any work outside of regular office hours is paid, in addition to the base salary.
Studio Moross is devoted to acknowledging and implementing diversity within the company. Studio Moross makes a conscious effort to address imbalances within the creative world by challenging all forms of oppression. Understanding higher systematic forces at play and hiring accordingly is crucial to their core values.
We are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you are excited about this role but do not meet every qualification listed, we still encourage you to apply.
We hope to find someone with 3+ years of experience as a studio manager or in a similar admin/production/management role. We are looking for a multi-tasker, problem solver, and organiser – someone who can build strong relationships with the team and keep the studio running smoothly. The Studio Manager is a hugely important and very varied role.
The studio manager helps keep the team connected. As we have moved away from the in-office lifestyle we focus more on wellbeing online and through speaking regularly (yoga classes, group discussions, wrap ups, skill shares, online group activities).
The role requires weekly check-ins with each staff member to ensure they have what they need to carry out their work, flag any worries and ensure that there is communication between management and the rest of the staff. At its core the studio manager role requires someone that is a good communicator and co-ordinator.
We are looking for someone that can safely and confidently commute to our workplace in Stockwell after the summer. Working hours can be split between work from home and attending the studio space to manage the facilities. We have several rooms that staff can work from safely and plenty of outdoor space. Once we have returned to normal working patterns we are thinking the studio manager would be in the office from Monday-Thursday but WFH on Fridays.
