ROLE PROFILE

Rehab is a London-based creative tech agency and we’re looking for an Operations Director to join us on a Fixed Term Contract. This is a maternity cover role for 4 days a week.

This is a key role within the business and this person will be highly strategic and will also be hands-on and detail-orientated.

The Operations Director will translate Rehab’s strategic plans into defined operational plans. They will oversee all operational activities for the company with a view to improving work quality, productivity and efficiency. This will be designed with people in mind, and with a view to promoting an entrepreneurial spirit across the business. They will analyse and improve organisational processes by identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and systems, and they will drive any internal projects through to completion. This person will also be commercially-minded and will oversee the management of all commercial client contracts and agreements, and supplier contracts.

This role would suit someone who is dynamic, an excellent networker, a clear communicator, highly process-driven, with a passion for people, creativity, tech, and business operations. The role reports into the CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of the Operations Director are as follows:

• Oversee key operations and management for the UK office, supporting the growth of the business.
• Be a member of the Leadership team and advise on operational and strategic matters related to the business.
• Line management of the Head of Production, Office Manager, People Advisor, Systems Manager.
• Oversight of the production team via the Head of Production.
• Having an overview of HR to support the People Advisor and for wider business operations and risk implications. Day to day HR function being managed by the People Advisor and working with the external HR advisor for consultancy as required.
• Oversight of office and systems management with day – day being run by the Office Manager and IT Systems and Security Managers.
• Participate and potentially lead long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence. Drive initiatives in the organisation that contribute to positive financial results, increased efficiencies, and effectiveness.
• Lead the review, implementation and policing of all processes, ensuring a consistent, high-quality output of work, using lean management procedures whenever appropriate.
• Oversee the revising, negotiating, approval and issuing of all client-related NDA’s, client commercial contracts / master services agreements, as well as supplier contracts, working with external legal counsel where required.
• Researching opportunities for cost savings across the business, and minimising operational expenditure within the business wherever possible.
• Staying up to date with technological changes related to operations.
• Effectively collaborate with other Managers on projects, and manage coordination between teams.
• Oversee all company compliance which impacts the operations and security of the business, eg. IT, GDPR, penetration testing, ISO27001, data protection renewals, contract renewals etc, working with the Security Manager where required.
• Collaborate with the CEO and SMT on any ad hoc projects related to the smooth operation of the business.
• Regular reporting to the CEO and SMT on all operational matters.
