Refugee Café Training Coordinator (PART-TIME)

Competitive salary: £18,000 (FTE £30,000)
Refugee Café is on a mission to help local refugees gain independence by providing support into mainstream employment. We are launching a cafe which will act as a facility for delivering hospitality training and employment to refugees, whilst providing an eating and meeting place for the entire community.
Refugee Café are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to join our team based in Lewisham. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for delivering a high quality hospitality and employability training programme to cohorts of six refugees at a time, with a commitment to support each trainee into mainstream employment. This is a new and important role for a dedicated team member who shares the Refugee Cafe vision of reducing poverty and unemployment for refugees.
This is a crucial role to the Refugee Cafe and duties will include developing a learning development framework, delivering the necessary training and developing partnerships with other organisations. The Training Coordinator will also be expected to provide trainees with 1:1 coaching and support and help with job placements and employability skills, with the aim of assisting trainees with running their own market stalls/events.
Those wishing to be considered for this role must have previous experience of working in a managerial position within hospitality and of designing and delivering learning development frameworks. They must also have a level 3 food hygiene certificate and a DBS check will be required. Experience of working with refugees or vulnerable adults is essential and fluency in a second language (in particular, Arabic) would be advantageous. The post holder will also need to have excellent oral and written skills and experience of administration and safeguarding procedures.
