About us: Peer Power is an empathy-led social justice charity. We partner with children, teenagers and young adults (our Young Partners) who have experienced injustice, abuse, loss and exclusion with two goals in mind: individual change for our Young Partners, and change to the systems they have experienced (Youth Justice System, care and health services). Together, we work to heal trauma and adversity through caring relationships and finding the power and positivity in our stories.
What we are looking for: We are looking for a Digital Media and Communications Manager to join our small, warm, diverse, open team. Someone who is excited by the opportunity to co-plan and co-produce content with Peer Power’s Young Partners and the whole team; to tell the story of the charity, its projects and campaigns, creating content that reflects our values, personality and the voices of our Young Partners, as well as advancing our mission.
You will be a digital media expert and an excellent content planner and creator – both written and visual. You’ll be able to raise Peer Power’s profile, plan and execute high quality digital campaigns, and reach varied stakeholders through social media, our website and communications like newsletters, reports and infographics.
You will also work alongside Peer Power’s Young Partners to help design and communicate their social action projects and campaigns, system change activities and training packages.
We’re looking for someone who will work with Peer Power’s Young Partners on a level playing field with equal power. Someone with a track record of coproducing projects alongside those with lived experience, who is able to engage, empathise with and support young people to influence change in the health and justice system.
