Trusts & Foundations Manager (Part-time, fixed term contract)
Based in London (initially remote, with flexibility on-going)
Salary: £32,000, pro rata. This role is a 9-12 month fixed term contract for maternity cover
This is a part-time role (minimum 22 hours per week) but we are open to applications from applicants looking to work full-time hours, and would also be open to job share and secondment options.
About the role
NPC is recruiting for a Trusts and Foundations Manager (Maternity cover) to join our dynamic Innovation and Development team, for nine-twelve months with possibility of extension.
The Innovation and Development team at NPC leads on new strategies, partnerships and projects and spearheads our fundraising activity to support our charitable mission. We are a small team, and there is plenty of opportunity to get involved with programmes, events, and idea generation.
The Trust and Foundations Manager will support the growth of trusts and foundations income and will implement and build upon the strategy in this area, primarily focusing on creative, targeted funding applications to small, medium, and large funding bodies. You will identify, cultivate, and secure trusts and foundations support to NPC’s wider variety of programmes and activities. The Manager will also work across revenue streams where appropriate including with major donors and the Supporters Circle to ensure an excellent donor experience.
The selected candidate will be skilled at initiating and building relationships with new and existing trusts and foundations supporter via telephone, email, and in person when possible, ensuring the relationship that is built is beneficial for both NPC and the partner. You will have demonstrable experience of trusts and foundations fundraising and will enjoy remaining creative and consultative with your funding approaches. Crucially, you will understand the balance required between bespoke applications and the potential need for developing compelling proposals on a quick deadline. You will have a keen interest in the charitable sector in the UK and philanthropy and will enjoy working with colleagues who are leading experts in their field.
