Location: Wigan, London or remote
Salary: £35,000-£37,000 per annum pro-rata
Hours: 3 to 4 days per week (22.5-30 hours)
Keep Britain Tidy is an iconic and dynamic charity providing first class solutions to environmental challenges. For more than 60 years, we have campaigned for cleaner, greener places. As the country’s anti-litter charity, we work tirelessly to combat waste and neglect so that everyone can love where they live. Using our world-class research and working with partners, we develop game-changing programmes that fly the flag for clean, accessible and attractive beaches, parks and green spaces and are proud to inspire and educate millions of children through our Eco-schools programme. The work of Keep Britain Tidy has never been more informed, important and urgent.
The Management Accountant will be a key member of a small Finance team; playing a leading role in the financial management of the organisation. The successful candidate will have particular responsibility for managing financial systems, processes and procedures, and for the preparation of accurate financial information. The role reports directly to the Finance Director and can be based in either of our offices (London or Wigan) or performed remotely with the ability to travel to either of our offices.
Applicants will ideally be Qualified or Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA although significant experience of working in a similar role will also be considered. Experience of charity accounting is desirable but not essential. You will be a good team player, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and a flexible approach to this wide ranging role.
This role is being brought in to shadow a current member of staff who plans to retire next Spring. During this phase we are developing a new accounting package, so we have arranged this long handover period to allow in-depth role shadowing as well as significant engagement in the development of the new system. Experience of MS Business Central and new systems implementation are both valuable.
