We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Digital Designer to join our Product & Technology team – where we create the user experience for our partners and members. We are a new technology company, led by an experienced team and backed by seasoned investors, and you’ll be working closely with the Co-CEO. Some of the role will be more ‘everyday’ (producing assets, creating marketing collateral, and working on routine design tasks) but there’ll also be a lot of new things that you’ll have autonomy on. From branding to creating and implementing design systems, we’re definitely looking for a designer who likes to use both their left brain and right brain.
This role pays a basic annual salary of £40,000. Other standard benefits include five weeks’ annual leave (plus bank holidays), company pension, and a unique four day working week.
This is a creative role, of course. But as well as your output looking great we also want it to help drive performance. As such, we’re just as interested in your problem solving ability as your portfolio. You should ideally have worked directly with developers, be comfortable talking about UX and UI distinctly (this role definitely leans more towards UI), and understand the nuances between what will be required for e-commerce storefronts and the assets for our marketing funnel / user acquisition activity. Our audience is discerning, our partners are premium, and our clients operate at the upper end of their market – so we’re absolutely looking for someone with prior experience working with premium lifestyle brands.
We’re obsessed with work life balance and everyone at Loytech works a four day week. We condense a full 37 hour working week in to four days (0800 to 1800) – which means everyone gets to enjoy a three day weekend every week. We work 75% (three days) remotely and 25% (one day) on-site. All team members need to get to Edinburgh each week (at their own cost and in their own time) for team building, strategy, workshops, and general collaboration so this role likely best suits candidates within easy travel time of Edinburgh.
