Charitable Atlantic rowing expedition needs support to supercharge online presence and fundraising efforts.

Get involved in a World Record ocean rowing adventure and support an epic fundraising campaign 🌊!

In January 2022 our crew of three will row the Atlantic Ocean to raise over £100,000 for Dementia UK Admiral Nurses 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️. To make this possible we need a social media guru who can help us supercharge our online presence!

We’re starting our social media from scratch and aim to grow a large audience over the next year, in time for the row. We have the backing of DementiaUK social media team but need someone to support in designing and executing the social media strategy for our campaign.

• To help people with dementia and their families. Our campaign will make be a major contribution to Dementia UK and allow thousands more families to benefit from Admiral Nurses.
• Learn how to organise a huge expedition! If you have adventure in your blood and want to build your experience and contacts before trying it alone then this is the perfect opportunity!
• We will love and support you however we can. Whether you need help on your own projects or support from us or our network, the Forget Me Knot crew will be there for you 👌

Who are you 🤩?

• You’re enthusiastic and experienced in growing and engaging a social media audience
• Happy to get your hands dirty with a brand new project and building it from the ground up
• Willing to offer a few hours a week to maintain the strategy

Where we need your help 🙏

• Helping us define our audience and strategy
• Working with us to dream up original and attention-grabbing content ideas
• Setting our social media tone/voice to engage and entertain our audience
• Scheduling regular content across platforms. We have HootSuite to support our efforts but need help in pulling together content and ensuring we’re posting regularly
• Teach us (the crew) how to be more effective on social media

How much help do we need 💪?

• Most crucially we need to get established with our first 1000+ followers.
• This is likely to involve a kickoff workshop then a few hours a week to build and sustain the strategy for a 3-6 months
• We’d love ongoing support if possible but will also be incredibly grateful if you can just help us get things started!

Who will you work with 🙂?

• Mostly Johnnie, the Expedition Leader, but also the rest of the crew to co-ordinate content and engagement strategies
