Grade 2 (lower): £19,281.08 -£21,419.19 (£23,780-£26,417 FTE) per annum inclusive of Inner London Weighting

We are a long established Supported Housing Service that is contracted to deliver our specialist mental health housing provision in the Borough of Lewisham. We have a diverse service user group that reflects the diversity of the London Borough of Lewisham. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and innovative team, utilizing the Recovery Model and a Trauma Informed Approach to support service users, many with complex needs and presentations,into independent living within a period of 2 years.We are creative in responding to local challenges and changing needs and are committed to service user involvement and co-production in all that we do.
An introduction to the role and key responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual to join our service. You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload with support and supervision and to work aspart of a team. The successful candidate will utilise the Recovery Star tools and a strength based, Trauma Informed model to promote independence and plan resettlement into the community. You will ensure action Plans are formulated with clear objectives and SMART outcomes, agreed jointly with service users and reviewed regularly in liaison with relatives, care co-ordinators and relevant others.We are committed to the principles of Co-Production and there is an expectation to encourage and support service users to be fully involved in all aspects of service delivery. You will be expected to carry out full risk assessments of service users,incorporating the views of any other agencies involved and of the service users themselves.We have a successful volunteer programme to support delivery of action plans and you will have the opportunity to supervise a volunteer for which full training and support will be given. As part of our commitment to developing the skills of service users we deliver a comprehensive workshop programme which all staff are given training and support to co-deliver.
All tasks and responsibilities are currently being carried out in line with government advice with regard to social distancing and health and safety measures. This will include working via teams/zoom as well as presence on scheme.
Qualified to at least NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 year’s experience in mental health work, either as a member of staff or as a volunteer.
Knowledge of the recovery model, Trauma Informed Care,and principles of co-production.
Ability to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
