PART-TIME ENGAGEMENT OFFICER (MATERNITY COVER)

25 hours per week (open to negotiation and flexibility)

Fixed term contract initially for nine months with possible extension to 1 year

£27,000 per annum pro rata

Do you have experience of working with a diverse range of communities and the ability to engage those communities? Are you a good communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills?

WCA is looking for an Engagement Officer to join the Voluntary Sector Coordination Service team. This is a varied role which will involve working closely with team members. The primary focus will be to expand the reach of the VSCS by identifying and engaging with voluntary and community organisations, finding out about them and their work, explaining what the VSCS can offer and how its support might benefit them. You will also take on a representative role for the project by attending relevant multi agency meetings on WCA’s behalf and be involved in organising the project’s own network meetings and training events. We have recently set up a new database and you will also be responsible for maintaining and amending the information
