We are a small and highly ambitious charity, and have used the last few years to begin a journey of substantial change and growth. We’ve formalised our internal structures, expanded our staff team and developed a growing portfolio of projects and partnerships.
We have a special place in Bristol and the local community, offering a high-quality advice service and community partnership projects since 1965.
We’re now at a stage in our development where we want to consolidate our position and grow to the next level, investing in staff, systems and our local community to achieve our ambitious goals for the next three years. We offer advice, advocacy and practical, hands-on support to prevent homelessness and keep people in their homes. The need for our service and quality housing advice in general has never been higher, and it is vital we grow sustainably to play our role in helping Bristol meet this need, maximise our impact and influence real change.
As our Operations & Development Lead/ Manager you will be ambitious, passionate and committed, with the energy and experience to play a key role in shaping and influencing the next stage of our development. This is a new position within CHAS Bristol, inheriting many of the operational responsibilities that currently lie with the Director. There is therefore ample opportunity to shape the role and make it your own.
Working closely with the Director and Advice Service Lead, you will ensure the charity’s dayto-day operations run efficiently as we develop and grow, supporting processes such as IT, quality, finance & reporting; whilst driving change and development within the service. The position will be supported by our team of external consultants (HR, IT, Fundraising) and trustees with specific expertise (including H&S).
We are advertising a Lead/ Manager position, as in addition to relevant experience we are seeking the right energy and enthusiasm to drive forward positive change. You might be a senior manager looking for a new, dynamic challenge, you might be relatively new to management but in possession of the skills and aptitudes to excel in this role.
Either way, you’ll have exceptional communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a creative, collaborative and committed team. We are looking for a highly organised and process- orientated person to fulfil this role.
