Salary: Qualified applicants (with an accredited VAWG /domestic abuse qualification) dependent on experience: £27,000 – £29,000 pro rata (0.5 FTE), per annum (£13,500 – £14,500 pro rata). Unqualified applicants, dependent on experience: £26,000 – £27,000 pro rata (0.5 FTE), per annum (£13,000 – £13,500 pro rata)
Hours: 18.75 (Part time) 2.5 days a week
Contract: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

About the Service
Solace Women’s Aid provides a wide range of services to victim/survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in Bexley including an advocacy and support service and specialist services co-located in a number of services. Solace are recruiting for a new role as the See Change partner service caseworker, as the caseworker you will lead on offering support through our linked partner support service, whilst working alongside the Bexley SASS advocacy and support service team. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and support planning with survivors referred to the See Change partner service, and advocate on their behalf with external agencies, including social services.
This role will be based in one or more co locations additionally to the Bexley Solace office.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of our Bexley team as a See Change Partner service caseworker. Solace See Change perpetrator programme aims to increase the safety of domestic abuse survivors and their children by working with perpetrators to change their behaviour.
As the See Change partner service caseworker, you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors whose partners or ex partners are attending the See Change perpetrator programme. This role includes carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing longer term support and onward referrals.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.
We’re looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG and breaking down barriers for service users with physical and mental health needs accessing support. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.
Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG, and a strong understanding of the barriers facing service users with physical and mental health needs and legislation. A relevant qualification in VAWG is desirable.
