12 month Fixed-term contract, 2/3dpw, max £450/week fixed fee. (£150/day)
Brixton Chamber Orchestra (BCO) is a small charity based in Lambeth with a mission to provide fantastic orchestral experiences for the widest possible audience in Brixton and beyond. We are seeking to recruit an experienced manager to design and deliver a development and a marketing strategy for the orchestra. This exciting new position comes at a pivotal time in BCO’s development. Despite the setbacks to the performing arts over the last year, we continue to plan for a gradual opening-up of social events as and when the law allows and our performers and partners feel confident. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our delivery team, helping to ensure we deliver our strategy and capitalise on the local support and energy the organisation has been garnering since its foundation in 2018.
1) Being accountable and responsible for the end-to-end creation and delivery of a comprehensive fundraising strategy, and associated delivery plans.
2) Being accountable and responsible for the end-to-end creation and delivery of a marketing and audience growth strategy, and associated delivery plans.
3) Creating reports on progress against these strategies in support of BCO trustees’ oversight.
Type of Contract: 12-months fixed-term, part time, two / three days per week.
Fee: £150 day fixed fee.
Hours of work: Fully flexible. Some will need to be within BCO’s business hours.
Reports to: The director of Brixton Chamber Orchestra
Place of work: Your home or preferred place of working.
Start date: May 2021 (tbc)
