Fundraising Development Manager (p/time or f/time)
Salary: £35,000- £38,000 (closing date Friday 26th February)
Contract: Flexible, freelance, part time, fulltime
Location: flexible — including home working.

This is a new position and an exciting time to join the team at Action West London, an energetic, entrepreneurial charity working with marginalised young people and adults – ‘changing lives through access to Employment, Education and Enterprise’’.
The Fundraising Development Manager will be a dynamic and skilled fundraiser, with exceptional bid writing experience, communication skills and the ability to grow and diversify income streams and develop strong relationships with donors, private sector businesses and companies and public sector funders. The postholder will have the ability to plan strategically and decide how best to promote AWL’s work to generate income.
1. To develop, manage and execute a Fundraising Strategy and timetabled action plan in liaison with the Chief Executive and Board to significantly increase income (Grants/Trusts/Tenders minimum of £200k per annum)
2. To increase corporate and individual donations and sponsorship income for Action West London with a focus on securing unrestricted funding (minimum £50k unrestricted per annum)
3. To build supportive relationships with businesses and corporates.
4. To research fund raising opportunities from Trusts and Foundations and Companies.
5. To write funding bid, grant applications and tenders.
6. To write donor reports as required.
7. To liaise with key colleagues in Action West London, Trustees and Advisory Board.
8. To construct and deliver Fundraising focussed PR and Marketing campaigns through a variety of platforms including AWL website and social media.
9. To comply with all relevant organisational policies.
10. To undertake any other duties as determined by line manager.
1.) Significant experience of successful fund-raising for the non-profit / charity/social enterprise sector with a track record of significant income generation.
2.) Excellent oral and written communicator
3.) Experience of developing budgets as part of fund-raising and proposal development.
4.) Demonstrated ability to use initiative and bring new ideas to fundraising for AWL.
5.) Resourcefulness, ability to solve problems and creative thinking.
6.) Good organisation, time management and administration skills
7.) Excellent IT and social media skills.
8.) Ability to develop a strategic marketing and communication plan to deliver income targets.
9.) The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with a diverse range of people.
